Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to support our goal to provide quality childcare, a loving staff, and a clean, fun atmosphere for your child.
We start children on their own personal schedule and chart progress to ensure every need is being met. As your child grows, the schedule becomes centered on encouraging personal development and gradually adjusts to a more structured play environment.
As children progress, activities increase educational focus on letters and numbers with a goal toward kindergarten preparation. This begins with learning letters and numbers in the two year old room and, as they grow, building on this knowledge, they begin writing and increasing their number and letter identification.
For the Preschool children, we focus on weekly themes which we post at the entrance every week. These themes include learning to recognize and write capital and lower case letters, how to call 9-1-1, memorizing their phone number, memorizing days of the week, memorizing months of the year, learning manners, and learning songs and games.
We encourage parent feedback and participation at all levels. Parents have the greatest stake in their child's future and an environment which drives children's happiness is a positive environment for everyone at Tiny Town.
Christian Curriculum
Although Tiny Town is not affiliated with any specific church, Bible lessons are included in the curriculum.
With parents’ permission, children pray before lunch, participate in Bible stories and activities including seasonal art projects, Bible story worksheets and coloring sheets.
